Is my child old enough to attend La Escuelita? Your child needs to be mobile (crawler or walker) to attend La Escuelita.
Can my child attend part time? Yes. La Escuelita does offer part time options, by attending a few days a week. Our daily schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Your child can attend part time:
2 days/week (Tuesday and Thursday) or
3 days/week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
Does La Escuelita offer extended hours? No, La Escuelita doesn’t offer extended hours or holiday camps. We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, we close during the month of July (no tuitions charged) and we have a few breaks during the year.
What is the adult-to-child ratio at La Escuelita? One adult for four children.
Does my child need to speak Spanish? No, we will speak Spanish so your child can be immersed and use the language as he/she needs.
Does La Escuelita provide lunch? No, La Escuelita provides one daily nutritios morning snacks. Families will need to pack their child’s lunch daily.
What happens if I breastfeed my child? Parents are always welcome to come in to nurse or bottle feed, we will provide a comfortable space for you and your child. If you send breast milk with your child, we will handle it appropriately and bottle feed.
What happens if we use reusable diapers? We encourage sustainable practices, reusable diapers are welcome. We will handle them safely and send them home with your child to be washed daily.
Are uniforms required? No. Just dress your child in comfortable clothes that allow mobility.
